I’m a firm believer that you don’t need an excuse to kiss someone but sometimes we’re more comfortable if we’re given one.
Today is St. Patrick’s Day and a familiar phrase heard on this day is “Kiss me, I’m Irish.” If you need an excuse, there it is. Don’t save your kisses for another special occasion.
There’s an expression that says, “absence makes the heart grow fonder.” I have mixed thoughts about this. Absence from a loved one may temporarily make you long for that person and you may be conjuring up sweet and loving thoughts of that person, it’s true. But I say, don’t wait to be apart for those feelings to show themselves. One of the best ways to show affection to your partner or loved one is to kiss him or her. Don’t wait – do it now! Do it often!
But for today, you can use the excuse, “Kiss me, I’m Irish,” if you feel you need to.
Happy St. Paddy’s Day to you all.
